After hire, the clinician will complete onboarding and credentialing with selected insurance panels. During the credentialing period, which is anticipated to last approximately two months but may vary, the clinician will maintain their current employment or other professional commitments, as client services will NOT begin until credentialing with our primary insurance panel is complete.
Once credentialing is finalized, the clinician will open their schedule and transition directly into a full-time caseload primarily based on this insurance panel.

Cholula Psychological Services is seeking a compassionate and dedicated BILINGUAL, Spanish-speaking LICENSED Mental Health Therapist/Counselor to join our dynamic private practice team and make a meaningful difference in our community. MULTICULTURAL PATIENT POPULATION: Serve a diverse range of clients, with a high percentage of patients identifying as Latinx, Hispanic, and Spanish-speaking. Provide services in English and Spanish.
HYBRID & FLEXIBLE WORK SCHEDULE: You will set your own work schedule, with appointment possibilities for mornings, afternoons, evenings, and weekends, as well as remote and in-office.
STREAMLINED DOCUMENTATION: Enjoy our digital-only, electronic health records system. No paper charts are used, and in general, your documentation requirements will be limited to basic progress notes (date, time, service type, etc.) and brief psychotherapy notes (Symptoms, Intervention, Response, Overall, Plan). Treatment plan length is approximately 3/4 page in length and conducted on a 6 month basis.
STREAMLINED INSURANCE PANELING: Be ready to provide insurance-based services in approximately 30-90 days (select panels).

REQUIREMENTS—NO EXCEPTIONS
Master’s degree.
Valid California BBS licensure: LMFT, LCSW, or LPCC. Newly licensed providers are eligible to apply.
Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish. The position requires providing a portion of clinical services in Spanish.

Availability to offer BOTH in-office and virtual appointments. NO EXCEPTIONS. Clinicians must commit to a minimum of 15 in-office hours per week, scheduled during high-demand periods, defined as weekday appointments after 3:00 p.m. and/or any time on Saturdays. Clinic office space is provided.
Ability to conduct an average of 30 clinical sessions per week (54+ min. each) once fully credentialed with the primary insurance panel. This requirement does not apply during the introductory credentialing period prior to the start of client services.
Weekly scheduling availability for 35 hours of client services, with 30 counts of rendered 1-hour (54+ min) clinical sessions. The added 5 hours of scheduling availability helps compensate for client cancellations, unfilled appointment slots, and the like and is to be used completing documentation and case management requirements.
Reliable home internet connection and computer, capable of supporting tele-health sessions and meeting documentation and communication requirements.
Proficiency in using electronic health records, with an ability to complete documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
US citizen or legally authorized to work in the United States.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Evaluate a variety of mental health and behavioral conditions presented by children, adolescents, and adults and develop individualized treatment plans to fit the needs of each patient using appropriate diagnostic criteria.
Conduct culturally appropriate individual, family, and couples counseling using evidence-based approaches.
Complete and sign clinical notes and documentation within 24 hours of rendering services.
COMEPESATION (expanded description):
Compensation is session-based and structured to be equivalent to $70 per rendered clinical session (54+ minutes), inclusive of paid administrative time. This is a W-2 position.
Routine Clinical Session (54+ minutes) are compensated at $64 per session + administrative time
Treatment planning sessions (54+ minutes), when required, are compensated as a clinical session at $64 per session + administrative time
Administrative Time:
Required administrative and non-clinical work — including documentation, treatment planning, care coordination, case management, staff meetings, and other required duties — is compensated at $24 per hour and is paid for time actually worked.
Administrative time generally correlates with clinical workload. Administrative work typically averages approximately 15 minutes per routine clinical session and approximately 1 hour per treatment planning session.
When full clinical workload expectations are met, the combined compensation structure is designed to be equivalent to approximately $70 per rendered routine clinical session, inclusive of paid administrative time. Compensation may vary based on clinical volume and administrative workload.
